TRS-80 Model 2000

Donor: Jay Glosser
Location: Williamsburg, VA

Most people are familiar with the Tandy Model 1000. IT was one of many IBM XT clones. So what makes the Model 2000 special? Well, as far as I know, it was the only major PC to come with the Intel 80186 chip. Yes, there was a chip between the 8086/8088 and the 80286. This machine also comes with a very nice sharo color monitor. I don't know whether the vertical stand was standard equipment. Some of the ports on the back come out of the stand, rather than out of the main unit, so maybe the stands were either standard, or a common add-on.
